This week went by in a Jiffy!

In Math, we learned about likely, unlikely, certain, and impossible events. An example is: this are 8 toy zebras and 2 toy airplanes in a box. It is likely you will pull out a zebra. It is unlikely, but not impossible you will pull out an airplane. If something is very unlikely, it is impossible. Example: 1 + 3 = 7. That is impossible. It is certain that 12 x 12 = 144.

In Social Studies, we visited the West. We learned about Lolo Pass, Montana, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, Leadville, Colorado, California, and the Columbia River.

In Language Arts we finished our adventure story and started with Myths. The myths we are studying are about Greek heros and monsters. Some are Hades, Zeua, Poseidon, Apollo, Hera, Medusa, Hydra, Demeter, Pegasus, Athena, Aphrodite, and Jason and the Golden Fleece.

We also had a field trip to the Jiffy Plant and the Teddy Bear Factory in Chelsea. In the Jiffy plant we got to watch a really funny video. We also had to wear a hairnet. It felt really funny! Will's dad had to wear one on his face! In the Teddy Bear Factory, we saw the world's largest teddy bear. It is called Goliath. It was huge--maybe bigger than a house!

As you can tell, this week went by in a Jiffy!
